"Family Ties" presented itself on July 29th, 2004. At that point the strip didn't have a real direction or purpose beyond me entertaining myself. (Althought that purpose is still a strong presence, I am at least mindful of the fact that not everyone will understand the point of some of the more "inside joke" type strips. I don't think this needs much in the way of an explaination. I thought the very concerned and engrossed expressions on the subjects' faces was priceless given the book they were holding. (That book was the byproduct of a white elephant party. Other gifts at said white elephant party included: A corn-husk condom from Namibia, airline size booze from a plane flight, porn, and some boring gift cards.)
