“Child’s Play” was unleashed on September 29th, 2005.  (Note: It was originally the 47th issue, but I removed the original 8th edition because the war is over… Cryptic enough?)  I think I had just got done listening to someone act shocked that someone they’d grown up with ended up popped up in an issue of Playboy.  Maybe I have a sixth sense about that sort of thing, but I am rarely, if ever, surprised when that sort of thing happens.  You can usually see it coming a mile away.  If anything surprises me, it’s how long it can take the train to arrive on occasion.  I didn’t even realize Ellen and George Michaels were in the closet!  And when the kid is pouring glue down the front of his pants in the first grade – yes, there was someone in my first grade class who did that – is there honestly an adult around NOT thinking, “He is going to be a prisoner when he grows up!”?  At least we’ve figured out that when a 10 year old skins Fluffy and uses it to bait Fido that an intervention is in order.
