“It’s My Life (Schoolyard Sweethearts)” came out on November 15th, 2004.  In retrospect, I’m not sure much has changed since Kindergarten.  I certainly didn’t think so when I put this together!  Ha!  I do love the little excuses girls make up to make themselves feel better about Prince Charming’s rejection.  “I’m too good for him!” might sadly be among the healthier of them.  Less healthy excuses include the self-destructive, “It’s because I’m fat!” and the frustratingly delusional, “He’s just playing hard to get!”  No sweet pea, “He’s just not that into you!”
