I first posted “Gentlemen, Start Your Engines!” on March 31st, 2005.  To date it remains one of my favorite strips.  Something about combining a box of condoms, cute stuffed animal thing, and trucker hat all in one image makes me giggle uncontrollably.  The idea of a redneck thanking el Lord-o before boinking… woo-wee!  Make no mistake about it, this strip is not just the byproduct of my deeply disturbed sense of humour, it is also commentary on the absurdity of praying before the commencement of any and every activity on a daily basis.  If I were god, that shit would go straight to my prayer-spam folder, along with requests for spouses, money, and good grades without studying.
