The good part about the internet is it has made life crazy simple. Google Maps has mitigated the need to successfully interpret a Mapsco, and GPS devices have mitigated the need to successfully interpret a Google Map readout. Both allow drivers to focus on not getting into a car accident instead of worrying about when the next turn is. The bad part about the internet is it has rendered thought processes useless, and many people seem to have forgotten how to think on their own. Not sure what I’m talking about? A woman followed Google Maps walking directions onto a highway, and another man followed his GPS’s directions to turn his car onto a railroad track. Genius! The upshot is if enough idiots walk onto highways, sooner or later they’ll start getting hit. |
